Controversy surrounding the eligibility of Eliah Kananji as the head coach for Nyasa Big Bullets FC has finally been resolved with the team opting for former Bullets ace, Rogers Yassin to replace the incumbent.

According to press statement signed by the team’s General Secretary, Albert Chigoga, Kananji will now be deputizing Yassin.

The reshuffle came amid discussion the Football Association of Malawi had with the team after Kananji (who was acting as the head coach for NBB) fell short of the recommended CAF B. coaching license.

According to the statement, the teams is confident the pair will bring trophies to NBB.

“We wish both Rogers, and Eliya Kananji all the best as they steer the team to greater heights,” it said.

Kananji’s demotion comes less than a week after he led the team to a Carlsberg Cup glory against their arch-rivals, Mighty e Forward Wanderers.

Yassin on the other hand. had been the chairman of the team’s sub technical committee, after he had hung up his boots.

Meanwhile, the pair’s first litmus test is a match against Chitipa United at the Chilomoni Stadium on Saturday.  

Currently the People’s team is on 3^rd position with 28 points.
