Red Carpet Event Set for May 4th
African Print Party Expands to Zomba for the First Time

Blantyre, March 6 – The highly anticipated Nyasa Music Awards will reveal its nominations for the 2018 edition next week. The nominations process is currently undergoing thorough expert evaluation to ensure a fair and credible selection of nominees.

The red carpet awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 4, 2018, at Comesa Hall in Blantyre. In addition to recognizing outstanding musical talent, the event promises an evening of glitz, glamour, and electrifying performances. The headline acts for the night will be announced following the nominations.

In an exciting new development, the Nyasa Music Awards is expanding its flagship African Print Party to Zomba for the first time since its inception. The African Print Party has been a major highlight of the awards’ promotional campaign, and this year, organizers are committed to increasing awareness and support for the event in more locations across Malawi.

According to Chifundo Maganga, one of the co-founding organizers of the awards, the reception so far has been positive. “The awareness is good, and we are receiving great responses,” he noted.

This year, the African Print Party has already been hosted at Fifteen Sports Lounge in Blantyre and Cockpit Club in Lilongwe. Reflecting on the Lilongwe event, Maganga stated, “It was a great turnout. We didn’t have performances, but it was a fantastic opportunity to engage with people and media.”

The upcoming Zomba edition of the African Print Party is set for March 23, 2018, and promises to be a spectacular affair, featuring a surprise live performance. Entry is MK2000, and the event will kick off at 7 PM.
