It appears the journey for securing the key to unlock one gospel artist, Themba Cripsus, real name Themba Kathingo’s formula for success in the music industry is yet to be uncovered.

Barely three months after joining a musical grouping composed of both secular and gospel artists in Mzuzu, Fresh Life Entertainment, the promising gospel wonder boy, has also ditched the grouping and has now opted to go solo.

According to Kathingo, he wants his music to turn into a semi- professional path hence turning solo is the genesis of realizing his dreams.

“One of the reasons I’ve left Fresh Life Entertainment is that Kelz Entertainment from Blantyre has shown interest in helping to promote my work. That aside, I would still have left Fresh Life Entertainment because I’ve my dreams and visions to follow,” Crispus clarified.

Confirming the developments, Kelz Entertainment founder, Kelvin Chawawa, said Themba has promising talent that needs to be sharpened.

“I’ve been following Themba, I love his style, I hope and believe he can reach greater heights than where he is currently. I love gospel music and that’s the reason why I would love to promote these young gospel artists from all the three regions of the country,” Said Chawawa.

And Themba’s former group members claim they are not bitter with the nomadic artist’s decision saying they wish him well.

K-man, birth name Khwima Moyo, who is Fresh Life Entertainment’s manager said  it was early this month (November this year) that Themba broke the news of his intention to go solo.

“In August 2016, Themba Crispus requested to join us and we welcomed him to be with us. We were good friends and we still are. In November 2016 he made his own decision to work independently. We had to respect that.

Currently we’re not signing artists so as to give them something in return. Perhaps in the near future, but we work with artists within the Fresh Life family in organizing the shows, and sharing ideas on how we can improve our music and give our fans the best. So I don’t know if this might be the contributing factor to why he has left, but otherwise we are just good friends without grudges,” wondered K-man.

Meanwhile, the wanderer Crispus has squashed aside rumours that his emigration from Fresh Life Entertainment was a sign of bowing down to pressure from some section of his fan base who were against his joining of a semi-secular musical entourage.

He says F.L.E has been a genesis of a glittering future musically as he had learnt a lot from the group.

“Joining Fresh Life earlier this year was the best decision ever made because I noticed some advantages, I was involved in many shows, and studio projects, just to mention a few,” he said.

And he adds, “Some of my fans were not happy about the development “joining fresh life” which is largely dominated by secular artists. I had received so many negative texts but K-man is a hard worker. Despite being secular the guy knows God.”

Meanwhile Themba has promised his fans to be on their guards as he is busy finalizing his hit single, “GRATEFUL” which is expected to be on the market before Christmas.
