HOW TO DEAL WITH AN EMEGENCY (PART 2)

LIFESTYLE

Well a good two to three minutes past in silence as Jane was thinking of her next move, in trying to deal with this mistake that just happed or mistakes that just happened, although she wasn’t really ‘thinking ‘more like panicking.

Me: well are you done thinking?

Jane: not really..

Me: well lemme just say you have bigger issues to worry about now, for starters you could be pregnant, or you could get HIV, or some other nasty STI those have a cure tho and then you have to consider…..

Jane: hahah, you are joking right, pregnant maybe, but HIV come one, its josh we are talking about here, where is he gonna get HIV plus he is doing theology in collage too and l….

Me: yeah right! from what I saw last night, the guy is a walking Kamasutra, with some of his own modifications, like that time he rolled you over slightly and…

Jane: oky! I get it, maybe we should just ask him!

Me: yeah lets, do that will be like “oh hey Josh morning, do you have AIDS?” like that’s gonna end well…

Jane: you right its not like he’s gonna be honest either, damn it.

Me: we need to fine PEP

Jane: huh?

Me: PEP. Short for Post Exposure Prophylaxis. Here is what you do, you go to the nearest hospital, ns just ask, its provided free of charge in government hospitals. Say Josh here has HIV, right now the virus is busy trying to multiply and mess up your body, but before it established it self PEP stops it and PEP gives you 80% chance that the virus will fails and you will be fine. Its 28 pills which you will have to take for 28 days one pill every day. Although one scary thing is that they have to test you first if you have HIV, coz make no sense to give HIV prevention medications if you already are HIV positive, but its definitely worth a shot.

Jane: yeah am not getting tested, got too much to think about right now

Me: well you better makeup you mind fast coz PEP only works in the first three days or 72 hours after a “Mistake’ as you put it, the way I see it 3 hours is already gone, so think fast..

Jane: damn it what time is it…

Me: No so fast, that’s HIV taken care of, but we need to deal with the possible pregnancy issue too, or are you gonna wait it out an hope your fiancé thinks is his? Oh almost forgot, you guys are waiting till marriage to make your own “Mistakes”..lol or you could be Jane The Virgin, remember that series , that’s so you right now..i mean…

Jane: ha ha ha, very funny….? What am I gonna tell him if he finds out?..damn it.. this whole thing is a mess..!!

Me: true, but for the pregnancy thing, you’re in luck, we need to find the nearest pharmacy and buy the morning after pill, you know coz it’s taken the morning after you know, anyway its also called Levonorgestrel, comes in two forms, the two pill and the one pill type. The one pill taken once and you are good the two-pill type take one now and 12 hours later take the other pill then you are good to go. Oh, and they also work if taken within 72 hours after you know…

Jane: great, where is my phone? We need to get out of here…

Me: your handbag maybe, like always..oh and its vibrating actually..

Jane: oh shit its him, what do I do?

Me: wow don’t answer that..its like your fiancé knows what happening, this is epic, aren’t you guys going shopping this morning or Is my memory just bad, which means he’s right next door at your house looking for you.

Jane: this cant be happening! Its 9 missed calls..!

Me: you know what I didn’t sign up for this, you’re own your own.. bye…

Jane: wait……….

And so, Jane left the boys quarters in a hurry, without saying goodbye to Josh obviously, who was still sleeping. Four months later Jane and Her fiancé got married and they are living happily ever after.

Say no to unwanted pregnancy, say no to HIV. Go to the nearest pharmacy or hospital and find out what Post Exposure Prophylaxis or (PEP) and Ladies know about Emergency Contraception. Don’t trust google too much tho.

#cheers
