Participants in the ongoing Growth Accelerators information sessions currently underway in the country are delighted with the services saying they are opening gates to the entrepreneurship world.

Growth Accelerators- one of the country’s commerce advocates is on the drive teaching youthful entrepreneurs in Mzuzu, Blantyre, and Lilongwe, some workable survival business skills.

In a post-session interview at Mzuzu E-hub, one of the beneficiaries, Wezzie Moyo hailed Growth Accelerators Malawi for the opportunity rendered.   

“It’s something worth a big hand of applause. They are bringing in a solution that we lack as a country. It is a perfect path for government and other financial forums to emulate,” praised Moyo.

Echoing Moyo’s sentiments, one of the organisers, Tapiwa Bokosi from M-hub says it is their (organisers’) expectations that the sessions will breed the desired fruits.  

“We are expecting entrepreneurs to be able to grow and scale their business most importantly to create jobs for the youths,” said Bokosi.  

Meanwhile, the Economic think-tank is hunting for innovative, and result-driven entrepreneurs who have a product or service on the market to apply to be enrolled on the second phase of the challenge.  

In a media release, the grouping says the qualified entrepreneurs with the capacity, desire and ability to grow and scale, will be selected to be part of the second round of the Growth Accelerator Entrepreneurship Challenge.

“The successful candidates will be provided with technical assistance and mentorship in business acceleration,” reads part of the statement.

Established in 2018, the first round of the challenge has accelerated innovative entrepreneurs across industries such as food production, pharmaceutical, organic fertilizer production, eco-friendly housing and fabrication to mention a few.

Through the Growth Accelerator, entrepreneurs have received hands-on technical assistance to help them become investment ready.

The open application will close on August 9^th,2019.
