“I can’t remember when I started serious music, but the thing is, I have grown up doing music every day of my life.”

“I have produced my music all the way, but now I involve people I trust to work with me when necessary.”

What was your first professional song?

“My first song on the radio was Magwiragwira.”

Apart from music, what do you do for a living?

“I’m a full-time musician. I didn’t go to any school.”

“I have worked with a lot of people, but a few that I remember and impressed me the most are the late Chuma Soko, Mawanga, and BFB.”

“I don’t follow rap that much.”

“I once bumped into some kids, and when they realized who I was, they started singing:
‘Iwe Lulu, nanga bwanji unandibweleka galimoto?’ (lyrics from Sindili Choncho, a duet with Wendy Harawa). It was awkward!”

Most memorable moment as an artist?

“My Mwayenera album launch last year at BICC.”

Best artist you’ve ever worked with?

Erik Paliani.”

What do you hate most?

“I hate my ex-girlfriend.”
